In a 250-year-old farm called "Gerandeses" in the town of Bromskirchen, a new cultural center for Bromskirchen, the neighboring communities of Hallenberg and Allendorf, as well as the Hochsauerland district and the Waldeck-Frankenberg and Siegen Wittgenstein districts, has been created with the support of the federal government's LandKultur funding measure.

At the core of the cultural building is an old cattle weighing house from a historical building, to which a 120 sq. m event room has been added.

The new space was created for cultural events and the widest possible social program and will be open for shared use by local actors and interest groups.

An inauguration and opening ceremony took place on Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd and 3rd, 2021.

The building was realized according to the standards of sustainability and ecological building and living.

The walls were built using the still relatively unknown technique of hemp lime stamping and have an interior plaster made of local red clay.

Workshops

During September of each year, die Taube hosts workshops, directed by artists and creatives from all over the world.
